Privacy policy

Last updated July 6, 2026. Draft pending legal review.

The short version

We collect what is needed to run the service and nothing speculative. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers on this site. Payment card data goes to Stripe and never touches our servers.

What this site collects

This marketing site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy respecting tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. We see aggregate page views and referral sources, not individual profiles. If you submit the contact or request access form, we receive the name, business name, email, and message you typed, and we use them to respond to you.

What the product collects

Accounts on app.houndstack.com store the business data you put into them: client and dog records, service addresses, schedules, visit history and photos, gate codes and access notes, hazard notes, invoices, and message history. This data belongs to the business that entered it. We process it to provide the service and for nothing else.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe under your own Stripe account. Card numbers are entered into and stored by Stripe directly and never reach HoundStack servers. Stripe's own privacy policy governs that data.

Subprocessors

We use a small set of service providers to run the product: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Google Maps (routing and navigation), Anthropic (AI features), and our hosting providers. Each receives only what its function requires.

Data isolation

HoundStack is multi tenant with row level isolation. Every record is scoped to a single business account at the database layer, and no other customer can access your data.

Your choices

You can export your data in one click at any time, request deletion of your account and its data, and unsubscribe from any non transactional email. Requests can be sent through the contact form.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, account owners will be notified by email before the change takes effect.
